Should i trade Chris Young(SD) and Rocco Baldelli(TB) for Adam Dunn(CIN) if i lack power?

I'm in a 10 person league, head-to-head. There are some good FA's and i lack a bit of power. My strategy was to load up on batting, and get pitchers (b/c you can play all pitchers) late and to get low ERA high Win pitchers(lots of SPs=lots of K's). My Team:

C-K.Johjima

1b-P.Fielder

2b-H.Kendrick(should i expend energy to get Kinsler instead)

3b-E.Encarnacion(Cin)

SS-J.Reyes

Of-M.Holliday

Of-J.Bay

Of-R.Baldelli

Util-T.Hafner

Util-R.Furcal

Bench-B.Hawpe

Sp-C.C.Sabathia

Sp-C.Young(SD)

Sp-R.Hill(CHC)

Sp-S.Olsen

Sp-J.Patterson

Sp-C.Hensley(SD)/J.Sowers(Cle)... sure which to keep

Sp-A.J.Burnett

Rp-M.Rivera

Rp-B.Fuentes

Rp-J.Isringhausen

Sp/Rp-A.Wainwright(STL)

DL-E.Gagne

Good Free Agents:

A.Kearns(Was-OF)

K.Griffey(Cin-OF)

C.Jackson(Ari-1b)

C.Young(Ari-OF)

G.Anderson(LAA-OF)

A.Iwamura(TB-3b)

J.Edmonds(STL)

J.Hermida(FLA-OF)

J.Zumaya(DET-RP)

C.Lee(Cle-RP)

J.Francis(Col-SP)

J.Maine(NYM-SP)

D.Turnbow(Mil-RP)

A.Reyes(STL-RP)

J.Blanton(OAK-SP)

Should i trade Chris Young(SD) and Rocco Baldelli(TB) for Adam Dunn(CIN) if i lack power?
no considering the fact that you do not at all lack power....you have hafner which is about 40+ homers this year, matt holliday which is 35 homers this year, jason bay whihc is a legit 40 homer threat, and prince fielder which is 30homres, and oh keep kendrick he could qutie possibly be contending for a batting title this year...yea hes that good lol.....and as for hensley or sowers go with hensley all day long...yes i know i gave you both choices but hensley is the stronger pick...and as for your lineup baldelli is just fine as well when healthy he cna hit for power, average, and some speed too so i would hold onto him and chris young who is projected to have a knockout year so no i would not go through with dunn because even if you do get him yea he'll hit close to 45 home runs and drive in 90 but then he will k 180 and bat .240 which is just not worht it...

hope i helped

goodluck bro

and have fun!!!!!
Reply:Tough one. I'm not sure you really need the power that badly (Fielder, Holliday, Hafner, Bay and Encarnacion all have decent power). Right now Young is your #2 pitcher (I'm not sure Patterson is of any value - esp after today). Consider Dunn's drag on your AVG too (which looks real strong right now). Yes, the extra power would be nice to have, but "I think" it is too risky.

Toughest one I've answered yet. It could really go either way.
Reply:YES, your pitching is good enough, and there are fairly good free agent pitchers. Also, Adam Dunn had 40 homers last year. And on opening day he hit two homers and 3 RBI's. So far he has been great so this trade is too good for you.
Reply:Negative on that one... Baldelli hits for good power, his only problem is staying healthy. Chris Young will pleasantly surprise a lot of people as well....he'll be one of the better young pitchers in the NL.

Dunn will pop homers and get RBI's, but he'll kill your average.
Reply:Get Dunn right away.He will hit in the range of 50-55 homeruns this year.He hit 40 last year and did nothing the last two months of the season. Also he is playing for the 13.5 million dollar extention the Reds will give him if he has a big year.He is a no steroid guy with huge power too all fields. This will be his best year.Opening day hit two bombs already.Baldelli,Young drop em for Dunn.Experts have Dunn at 48-55 homerun with 135-140 rbi along with a 285 ba.All power hitters suffer with ba.Miguel Cabrera wins the MVP this year.Watch.
