I know I need a quality PG and a C but do you think I have enough elite forwards to make up for the stats a C and a PG might provide...i don't wanna let go of those explosive valuabl young guys lol

Its a 12 team roto league Points, Rebs, Off Rebs, Asts, stl, blk, FTM, FGM, 3PT and MI

Here is a little analogy on what players carry your team in each particular category.

Points - Iguodala, Deng, Artest, Butler

Rebounds - Marion

Iguodala %26amp; Deng (from the guard position gets 3 - 4 more rebounds than the average guard), and

Magloire (if he returns to his previous All-Star form)

Assists - Nelson (pending whether we get the breakout Nelson 2 years ago or the big disappointment Nelson we saw last year),

Iguodala (a lot of assists for a swing men),

Artest %26amp; Butler (gets you a quality 3 assists from the forward position which is more than most forwards outside the elite ones), and

Brad Miller (if he returns to the elite center he was 2 years ago)

Steals - Iguodala, Marion, and Artest

Blocks - Granger, Marion, Magloire

3-Point Made - Jameer, Dunleavy, Granger, Marion, Artest - your guys don't consistently shoot a whole lot of 3's so this is another area you may want to work on

Free Throw Made - Iguodala, Deng, Dunleavy, Granger, Artest, Butler

Field Goal Made - points and FGM are practically the same thing

MI - Not sure what categories this is

Your points production is fine since you've got four players who can rack in 20 points a game. You should also be fine in the rebounding department since your guards more than make up for your lack of a quality big men. However, the lack of a dominant distributing point guards limits your ability to compete in the assists column. Steals is probably your strongest suit since you've got 3 players who can reel in 2 steals each game. You're decent in the blocks department but if you pick up another blocks oriented big men like Przybilla and / or Theo Ratliff, you might be able to dominate this category. You have a couple of players who hang around the 1-three average per game so unless they all hit their average consistently or better, you'll find yourself coming up short this area. You've got some strong performers who do shoot a lot from the charity stripes per game (Butler %26amp; Iguodala) and some decent supporters (Deng, Dunleavy, Artest, Granger) so you should be fine in this category. Field goal made is directly tied to points so if you're doing well in points, you should have problem competing in this department.

I recommend dropping Ridnour and Knight because they are both stuck in time share. Cassell has done well in the preseason so unless you anticipate an injury happening soon, it could be a long wait for Knight's assists production to come around. Don't forget that he is also as injury prone as Cassell. Ridnour is sharing minutes with Earl Watson and from what I've been hearing, the coach likes Watson more than Ridnour. You've also got Delonte West to round out the point guard platoon in Seattle.

It doesn't look like there is a player on your waiver wire who can help you in the assists category unless you're desperate enough to pick up Jose Calderon and use him as a specialty plug-in for assists. If that doesn't sound so appealing then I'd turn my attention towards other categories than can be improved on. Besides assists, you need to work on your 3-points made and blocks production. You should pick up Joel Przybilla since he is the only legitimate true center left in Portland after Oden got hurt and Magloire signed with New Jersey. A few years ago, Przybilla was considered a shot-blocking guru along the lines of a young Theo Ratliff so if the Magloire or B.Miller project doesn't pan out for you then at least, you've got a backup resort to strengthen your blocks.

I also recommend you pick up Martell Webster to strengthen your 3-point made production. You can place him at SG or SF according to Yahoo settings (don't know about other sites). There is only 2 true scorers left in Portland after Randolph got traded and Darius Miles was made obsolete by the rebuilding movement. That leaves room for Webster to contribute and even though, he is sharing time with Travis Outlaw but there's 100 points in a game and I don't see how he won't be able to contribute at least 15 points to go along with 4-5 boards and a couple of 3's a game. Plus, Roy might go under the knife soon with his heel injury, leaving Webster as the lone go-to guard scorer along with Aldridge in Portland. There are plenty of upside here to take a gamble on.
Reply:No problem man. White chocolate is another good pick up. From what Pat Riley's been saying, he's going to be healthy this year. Report It

Reply:lacking points, rebounds (that includes offensive), assists, and blocks.

try to trade mike dunleavy, danny granger if you have to, and possibly jameer nelson for a shot blocking and rebounding center. you may also try to trade brad miller.

im sorry, but i dont think you team is really that good.

the only guys you have helping your team is marion, butler, artest, granger, deng and iggy.

all the others are worth getting rid of for a pg who can pass the ball, and a center who can rebound and block shots.
Reply:not bad. i'd give it a strong 8
Reply:Well, after reading up on the first three and their average points; mind you Deng was quite impressive. I would say you have a pretty good shot. Mind I am not sports minded like you, still I took a dabble. Just play them to their strengths and you won't go wrong. I have to say I am a bit worried about Brad Miller, hopefully the top three PG(s) can pick up the slack for him.

Now Jamal Magloire shows more promise, you play him for the tight spots ... dear me, here I go and tell you what you are to do...sorry...all in all you have a pretty good chance.
