you have great hitters, not doubt, BUT your pitching staff is weak which lowers you down, once halladay gets back youll be an 7 or 8
Reply:you have good hitting, but poor pitching!!! drop shawn green, jose cruz and pick up at least 2 starting pitchers!!! you have no starting pitchers except kevim escobar!!! roy is hurt. hope this helps.

Barret is solid but not spectacular

Howard is a nice piece for 1B

Polanco is decent for average and runs but an injury risk

Lowell has been solid but I just can't shake the feeling he is playing over his head and that his numbers well level off.

Greene has always had potential but low batting average, consistency and injuries always hold him back.

Holliday is a great outfielder - never been a Bonds fan - never know when he is going to break down. Burrell is notoriously streaky and Cruz is a 4th fantasy outfielder at best.

Weeks is still suffering from wrist issues from last season and there is always going to be that for the rest of this season - a lengthy DL stint would not suprise me.

Green is out indefenitely. Youlikus is a nice util piece and can help at various positions.

As for starting pitching - besides Halladay - you don't offer much - Escobar has been marred by inconsistency and injuries and Sampson is not better than a #4.

Bullpen looks above average - especially if your league has holds - if not - then carrying so many middle relievers won't help you in the long run.

This looks like a really deep league - more than 14 teams I would think looking at the roster.

7.5-8. Lacking SB and Wins. Starting Pitching seems relatively weak. Im not a Bonderman fan and i think Lackey is average. Nick Swisher should be starting over Nick Markakis. You have a good lineup. Plenty of HR and RBI, but not a very high BA. Good Saves in street. My choice for Reliever of the year. Overall, i would say its a decent team. Might want to pick up some SB off free agents. Such as Kenny Lofton(A good 1 year guy. Not good for a keeper league). And dont bother with that trade. If your going to make a trade, make it for a reliable 15+ game winning Starting Pitcher. The trade weakens your lineup.

good team
Reply:Offense looks fine, exceptfor Dye who is killing me, pitching could use another starter possibly, drop on of your offenseive players to get more pitching.
Reply:i'd say somewhere around a seven or eight right now. 10 team league is 2 fewer than most, so every team will be a little better than normal. Even with that though, your hitting is solid, agree with above guys that you need SB though. Only two Sp and a P? Lackey and Bondy isn't strong enough, i can only imagine how stacked some people will be. Your closers are strong, but you can only start 2 at a time? trade one or two if i got that right.

look to improve Sb's and SP. Do that and you can win.
Reply:6, Fantasy Baseball is won and lost on pitching, at most you should have one bench hitter, the rest primarily starting pitchers. Next time you draft think pitching and roster spots that are difficult to find quality guys for. Positions like OF and 1B never need large emphasis as there are always plenty of guys to fill those voids.

umm.. your pitching looks good except for benitez and rogers. rogers is gone til the all-star game. benitez, idk about him. but im sure theres another RP out there other then him. look and see if dustin hermanson is still on your waivers. sammy sosa and hermanson just got added to the pool. see if you can grab another starter too. look for someone like chuck james or nate robertson.

your hitting looks pretty solid. watch the catchers this year on waivers. varitek is a great catcher but not when it comes to fantasy baseball. watch napoli and russell martin. these two guys could have solid years.
Reply:not bad,, I dont like Renteria. Drop him for another SP. U have rollins and Lugo and Barfield to move around. I would stick w/ 3 closers. I would look for James (atl) or Maine (Mets) or Sanchez of the marlins
Reply:YOUR TEAM IS averAGE ITS NOT VERY GOOD U NEED MORE HITTING AND MORE PITCHING GOOD LUCK

Im in a 12 team leauge.

Rate my team please!?
ok lets go player by player

c- martinez is a stud good for power and a bit of average and more value due to his eligibilty at first base

1b- delgado good for 30+homers and knock in a ton of runs with that lineup

2b- lugo will score about 130 runs with that boston lineup hitting leadoff fits well in fenway park

3b- atkins highly underrated good for another great year expect same numbers as last year

ss- renteria has regained form since rejoining nl

of- ichiro in contract year = big year in sb and average

of- lee is a stud good for 30/100/.300 and steals 20

of- soriano a stud as well good for 35/110/.280 and 30 sb

util- patterson is good all around player good for 15-20 homers 80rbis and 30sb good speed as leadoff man

bn- johnson on dl as of right now so dont expect anything out of him but when healthy has great raw power

bn- taveras is good for 40sb and thats about it

sp- johan...can you say cy young? lol

sp- carpenter another cy young caliber pitcher when healthy

rp- papelbon will have close to 40 saves again this year but dont expect microscopic era again

rp- krod is exactly that lol will grab most saves in mlb this year

p- zitos era will drop a whole point in nl and k's will go back up as well

p- arroyo is a true innings eater good for another 200inning plus year

p- rogers is agingin but always reliable

bn- johnson era will drop but ks wont rise due to age and homers will go down though expect around 12 wins

bn- weathers isnt a top tier rp but good for a decent amount of saves

bn- hensley is great sleeper pick expect big year if he can control his stuff

overall i would say your team has a great mix of power and speed ...you will get more than enough sb out of lugo, ichiro, lee, soriano, patterson, and taveras and the thing is you arent even compromising power for that speed so you did an excellent job drafting your lineup and as for your rotation its got enough aces on it to carry you with 2 potential cy young winers on it (johan, carpenter) and your two closers are two fo the best in the game in papelbon and krod ....i thinks this team is one of the best 12 team leagues ive seen

if you are looking for a sleeper bat or two look for chris duncan, ty wigginton, jonny gomes, or adrian gonzalez

or a sleeper pitcher you might want to grab is chuck james, jeremy sowers, or adam wainwright

hope i helped

goodluck and have fun!!
Reply:I LOVE your outfield

9 out of ten

you have a good chance at winning the wole thing
Reply:For a 12-team league, it's looking like you have a winner.

Nice balance. The only concern I would have is not dominating any one category. But if you're producing solid numbers in every category, you'll be ok.
Reply:7 out of 10. The lineup is sub-par, but your pitching is superb. You should be able to finish at least 4th. Good luck!
Reply:9 out of 10. good outfield, pretty good pitching.

Can you give me some fantasy football advice?

Below is my team and proposed starters. I'm struggling with who to start at WR, especially my #3 guy (Kennison - I don't think he's any good).

I play in the standard Yahoo league with 1 pt per 20 yds (rushing and receiving) and 6 per TD and -2 per fumble

So the question is, who should I start? Kennison, Glenn or Branch?? And, is Green a better option than Williams or Jones-Drew?

QB E. Manning (NYG - QB) vs HOU

WR M. Harrison (Ind - WR) vs @NE

WR D. Driver (GB - WR) vs @BUF

WR E. Kennison (KC - WR) vs @ STL

RB T. Barber (NYG - RB) vs HOU

RB A. Green (GB - RB) vs @BUF

TE K. Winslow (Cle - TE) vs @SD

BN T. Glenn (Dal - WR) vs @WAS

BN D. Branch (Sea - WR) vs OAK

BN C. Williams (TB - RB) vs NO

BN M. Jones-Drew (Jac - RB) vs TEN

BN R. Brown (Phi - WR) Bye

BN L. Washington (NYJ - RB) Bye

Can you give me some fantasy football advice?
Glenn and Williams sounds like the best way to go
Reply:I dont know u might want to start glenn or branch. Romo just throws to T.O and oaklans d is pretty good against the pass ans branch has wallace throwing to him.
Reply:Can I have your team? wow!. I would put Glenn in for Kennison. TO will get Shawn Springs and Sean Taylor. Glenn will be open all day. Branch is a good play too, but I'd be worried that Seattle won't need to pass to much. I would start GLENN.

Manning, harrison, Driver, Glenn, Barber, Green, Winslow. Your entire team, matches up well.
Reply:I would defnitely play GLenn over Kennison. I don't think Kennison is any good either. I would start Green. Williams has not done much and is way too inconsistent for me. Jones-Drew wouldn't be a bad start either, but I would keep Green in my lineup while he is on a hot streak.
Reply:definitely play terry glenn over kennison..

as far as your rb's are concerned? that's a toss up

i'd play cadillac.. but ahman green has been ballin' lately.. so you can keep him in your line up if you feel comfortable w/ him
Reply:play Green for sure. not sure how many wr you play in aweek but 1. Harrison 2 Driver 3 Glen

Who should I trade for a second catcher...?

And how would you rate my team?

C-McCann(ATL)

1b/ss-Guillien (Det)

2b/of-Upton(TB)

3b-A Rod (NYY)

ss-Peralta(Cle)

of-Lee(Hou)

of-Young(Min)

of-Ibanez(Sea)

2b-Cano(NYY)

1b-Loney(LAD)

Util-Escobar(Atl)

of-Ankiel(Stl)

sp-Sheets(Mil)

sp-Shields(TB)

sp-Lowe(LAD)

sp-Johnson(Ari)

sp/rp-Billingsley(LAD)

rp-Rodriguez(LAA)

rp-Wagner(NYM)

rp-Broxton(LAD)

rp-Okajima(Bos)

Thanks for the advice!

Who should I trade for a second catcher...?
well, are you looking for a M / Th replacement or, just want to have another C. I'd leave things are they are, and if McCann gets hurt then IR him and go bet the hottest catcher at the time. If you NEED to have a 2nd catcher, trade / dump Ankiel. with multi position you can play Cano, and move Upton to the OF.

thats my take. The team is pretty good. I like the pitching staff, its how I'd build one, but might watch the wire and dump johnson if he doesn't get back a little. broxton and okajima should keep your ERA down and kick in some Ks.

all in all nice work.
Reply:It's a solid team overall. Since Ankiel should play over Ibanez, I'd take him and Escobar or Loney and see if you can get a taker. I don't like the Big Unit going forward either.

Are you sure you have to give anything up to get that #2 C? There are a ton of sleepers that should be fantasy contributors this season. I would first look to see if you can get a guy like Soto, Ruiz, Y. Molina, Napoli, or Towles off the waiver wire first.
Reply:i would trade ankiel because he is just not good enough to be on your team!
Reply:waiver wire. if you're looking for a player like lo duca noone on your team is worth that little. or in a future trade ask for their 2nd catcher as just a throw in.
Reply:Your team is dirty... you must be in a small league. Your starting pitching could use a little help though. Trade okajima for someone like satalamacchia or soto. A set up man doesn't mean much in most leagues and hitters will have figured him out by the time next season starts. There's plenty of young pitching out there that you can snag as a replacement.
Reply:Peralta, Lowe and Billingsley. All your weak players should get you a catcher.
Reply:I would not trade any of your pitching. Ankiel and Guillien are the logical choices, especially the former, since his mad stats dipped considerably after the one-tour around the league.
Reply:i would pick up Geovany Soto of the cubs, he had a unbelievable end to last season.

I like ur hitting but ur starting pitching staff scares me. Sheets and johnson are huge injury risks

Looks good to me, even if rookies, that looks like it would be a solid team in itself. If anyone tries to argue the RB position all I could do is laugh, and that coming from a Packers fan.
