How Good Is My Team? Rate 1-10?
Very nice overall. I'd give your team an 8.5. There's really only one area where I think you could noticably improve...and that is first base. Prince Fielder will develop into a good player, but there are a lot of better options than him at 1B this year. You're pretty stacked at SP, so I'd try to trade one of them for an upper-tier 1B. My honest opinion? Try to deal Sabathia. Santana and Carpenter shouldn't leave your team for anyone other than Pujols. Sabathia plays on one of the weaker teams in a very tough division, but is still a great pitcher. You should be able to get an excellent return for him.
Reply:good pitching but batting is ok 7 out of 10
Reply:C - Barrett is a good option at C. Try to improve, but good enough for now. 8/10

1B - Fielder is an up-and-coming hitter. 8.5/10

2B - Lugo is getting on in years, but is a reliable option. 8/10

3B - Wright is the 3rd best 3B behind A-Rod and Cabrera. 9/10

SS - Guillen is a pretty consistent SS, well worth a starting spot. 8.5/10

OF - Bay will be a top-7 OF this year, and is one of the best young OF's in baseball. 9.5/10. Matsui may be on the DL now, but is very consistent otherwise. 8.5/10. Rios is predicted to be a top-15 OF, and should do well. 9/10.

Util - THome may be getting on in years, but still puts up great numbers. 9/10

BN - Figgins on the DL is most probably why Lugo is in, but should get great numbers when he returns. 9/10. Ibanez is a good overall hitter, worth a roster spot. 8/10. Freel gets good steals and contact numbers 7.5/10

SP - Santana is the best SP in baseball. 10/10 Carpenter should be fine when he returns from injury. 9/10 C.C could potentially be traded. 8.5/10. Hamels and Verlander are inconsistent, but solid. 8/10, 8/10

RP - K-Rod is a top-3 RP. Should do well. 9/10 Ryan is also a great RP, worth a good 30-40 saves. 9/10

BN - Capuano and Valverde are both solid. Put in an RP at the P position, so you get more Saves.

Overall=8.5/10

Very solid team
Reply:I think I would give it an 8. Your pitching is unbelievable, you got the two best starters. Your position players are a little weak though such as Lugo and Guillen. But other than that your team should do pretty good this season, and theres a good chance you could win the league, but you are at least in the top 3 i believe.
Reply:I could give a lot of input here but ill keep it relatively short. Your pitching is obviously very good. Your offense needs some help. A great leadoff man appears to be key in your league because Runs, SB, and 3B are half the offensive categories. You have a lower tier fantasy catcher, 1B, and 2B. So you could improve on those positions. Matsui is hurt and Thome is struggling. And who knows if Rios is going to come back like he was last year. A very iffy offense. Also, there are so many great 1B out there, you should really have someone better than Prince Fielder at 1B. I am in an 8 person league and he is a bench player in our league. To improve, I would look to trade some pitching and try to get a Carl Crawford or Reyes. I know it might be tough and take a lot to do it, but with your league categories, those guys are extremely valuable. They would win you 3B and SB by themselves and they still can hit for power. Also, I would load up on pitching and only maybe keep 1 offensive player on the bench. Heres why....If you pitch more pitchers than your opponent (if its a head to head league) or if you pitch more pitchers throughout the season (if its rotisserie) then you will most likely automattically win the categories of Wins, Saves, K's and SHO's and then you can still win era and WHIP. The more pitchers you pitch then the better, unless its rotisserie then you have to be careful who you pitch so they dont raise your ERA or WHIP. Im not sure if these guys are still available in your league, but look to grab SP John Maine, Ian Snell, Daniel Cabrera, and Boof Bonser. They are a little under the radar right now, but should be good sleepers. So I give you about a 7 or a 8 because you have the potential to win every single pitching category, but your offense is going to struggle especially if more of them get injured, other than Matsui. Sorry it was so long, but I love talking about fantasy sports. Hope that helped!
