i lose a ton of assists if i get rid of calderon, but i have arenas and foye coming back at the pg position for me at some point during the year hopefully. and i feel i should sell Hill before he gets injured. Should I pull the trigger on this trade?

I would not make that trade. Yes Granger is having a great season with career highs in about every stat. I believe he is also a member of the 1trey/1block/1steal club. But Battier has never been and will never will be a top fantasy guy. He doesnt score much or rebound much. He is more of a defensive player, which isnt covered in fantasy. He does hit the 3 ball though.

Hill is having his best year since he left the Pistons and is also shooting a career best from deep. Yet there is always that question of wether he can make it through the season. I would love to see him do it, but that doubt is there. Calderon is filling in great for TJ Ford, who is done until after the new year and maybe his career. The fast paced Raptors offense is great for him.

Arenas and Foye are expected back, but when they come back will they be in top shape and ready to play 30+ min a game? You need to ask yourself that. Both might be outa shape or struggle and they might not start right away.

Overall i would hold off on the trade. At least until you see how well Arenas and Foye paly when they return. I wouldnt risk loosing Calderons assist and Hills ppg just yet. But if you are really worried about it i might try just to shop Hill around to see what you can get. Maybe try going Hill for Granger straight up. That would be good for you.

good luck
Reply:thats a bad trade... hill is going to continue to put up good numbers, phoenix is all offense and i think hill is finally due for a full season of injury free productivity... t.j. ford's career is in jeopardy so calderon is the #1 pg for toronto for the foreseable future... he can give you 10+ assists, 0 turnovers, plus a bit of offense + 3's every night, he's a keeper...

battier is average productivity, in fact, he's available in most of my leagues, no one has picked him up... the trade is really granger for hill/calderon, and thats really a stupid deal... keep your team as it is and wait for a better offer.
Reply:That's a tough decision but I wouldn't do it. I would try to trade Hill in another deal, as he's playing a ton of minutes and is bound to get injured at some point. But Calderon rarely turns the ball over while piling up assists, and Battier isn't worth having on your team.
Reply:yes, do the trade
