Help with my fantasy baseball team?
Id rate it a 5-6 range.
Well, some ideas you could do is:
You need SP badly. Lyon, Neskek, and Milwood just wont cut it in the long run. You have decent backups at 3B and SS. So you could decide to part with Braun and or Renteria, sell high and get good pitching for them. Kouz is more than capable at 3B for cheap, and you will get a top pitcher or 2 for Braun with a team that needs an upgrade at 3B.
Escobar should be your starting SS here anyways, so you could trade Renteria, or keep Edgar and trade Yunel selling high, for some good pitching as well.
Your bench could use some help too, so if you want to trade 1 star for 1 star SP and a better bench player, do it.
What free agents are available? You could maybe steal Heath Bell who will be the closer in SD soon. I would have to believe there are better free agents available than Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Colby Rasmus
Reply:Like A 4 MAYBE, depending on how generous I feel. Pitching staff isn't too bad, that is your saving grace. I might would drop some of my back up hitters since they aren't going to help you much and pick up another pitcher. Or better yet... trade Nady while he is hot, and pick up another closer or second tier starter
Reply:It's a train wreck...
starting line up ok except is Gathright starting?
I would cut all your offensive bench except for Polanco and use the roster spots for pitching...
what good will all those bats do on the bench except upset you when they go 5 for 5 while you starter lays an egg.
all teams play 5 to 6 games a week anyway so why waste roster spots on 1 or 2 days of substitution.
you should be starting more pitchers and winning those categories while your set and forget offense does it's job.
keep 3 to 4 closers and the rest starters.
