It's obvious you need pitching. Johan Santana is on a tear again, has won his last 5 starts in a row, pitches late into games, has a VERY low BAA, WHIP, ERA and high strikeout totals. There is a reason he is a consistent Cy Young candidate.





If you are going to trade A-Rod, get top notch-pitching like Santana and perhaps another arm. Otherwise if you can't get excellent pitching (like Cole Hamels, Jake Peavy or another can't-miss arm) DON'T MAKE THE TRADE.

Reply:if you trade Arod your better off picking up a better catcher and pitching. your pitching is horrible. also you should start Carlos Pena at 1st base not D. Young. your hitting is pretty good your only down fall is catching but if i were you i'd try and trade Arod for Johan Santana, he's known to be a dominant pitcher after the all-star break and also drop Soria, i dont think he's a closer anymore.

Certainly, you don't need the offence and you REALLY need pitching.


Arod is ahead of Santana this year for sure, so it's not unreasonable to ask for Santana and someone else. You look like you are down on saves as well.


Look at the rosters of the people that have the top starters,


You could get a great closer and a very good starter, or a great starter a good closer.

On another note, to the schmucks that said to put Pena in, you're fools. He was doing really well, but for the last month he i batting .250. Dmitri Young, who you said to bench, on the other hand, is batting .322. Pena is dropping off, Young is continuing to be good. I acknowledge Pena has better power numbers, but as a whole he has dropped off significantly.

Reply:Are you crazy! Dont' trade him he's on a fricken tear! maybe if you needed to get rid of him or something, get some better pitchers for him. Like, Josh Beckett, or Johan Santana. You could even get a few guys who aren't that good for instance Julian Tavares ( he keeps winning because his offence is behind him), and/or Ching Ming Wong...
